Putting the Pieces Into Place

For the final monthly luncheon this season, the Seattle Economics Council is pleased to welcome Maud Daudon, a Seattle Chamber of Commerce board member and President and CEO of Seattle-Northwest Securities (SNW),  who will join us to present, "Creating A Job-Growing Economy."  The luncheon will be held on Wednesday, June 10th at 11:30 at Ivar's, Pier 54 in Seattle.  (To register, click here.)

This season, we have been hearing not only from some of the leaders of the Puget Sound economy's key sectors--transportation, high tech, online retail, aerospace, energy--but also from those who are looking into the future to understand what it will take to help the economy to regain its balance.  As the year draws to a close, we examine the issue that for many is the bottom line:  how can we continue to ensure that the economy will produce the types of jobs that will adequately support working families, maintain consumer spending and continue to attract talent to the region?

Maud Daudon joined SNW on February 1, 2002. On August 24, 2006, the Board of Directors of SNW appointed her President and Chief Executive Officer, promoting her from the position of Managing Director of Investment Banking and Municipal Sales and Trading.

Prior to joining SNW, Ms. Daudon served for four years as Deputy Mayor and Chief of Staff for the City of Seattle, focusing on overall City strategy, public safety, labor issues, budget, information technology, and personnel. Prior to this role, Ms. Daudon was the Chief Financial Officer for the Port of Seattle for six years and held other finance-related positions for another two years. As CFO, Ms. Daudon was integral in helping the Port achieve its financial goals and in completing long-range strategic financial planning.

Ms. Daudon gained significant experience in public finance by working for six years completing transportation and public works-related bond financings for a national investment banking firm from their New York and Seattle offices.

Ms. Daudon has a Master of Public and Private Management (M.P.P.M.) with emphasis on Finance and Economic Development from Yale University and a B.A. from Hampshire College.

Ms. Daudon is a member of the Municipal Securities Rulemaking Board, effective October 1, 2006. She is Chairman of the Board for the Seattle Biomedical Research Institute, the Executive and Audit Committees for the Greater Seattle Chamber of Commerce.
